How to Prepare for Your Engagement Session
Thanks for asking for engagement session tips. Your photographer may include already an engagement session in their packages or you may hire someone just for your session (recommend you use the same photographer for both). Regardless which one you choose, below are a few tips to consider before scheduling your engagement session.
Where? We ask our couples if there is any special or sentimental locations This can be where your proposal took place, a special place you celebrated a birthday or maybe just a local spot that is your favorite. Can’t decide? Don’t worry your photographer should be able to provide recommendations.
When? We highly recommend either sunset as the lighting is perfect for any location from the beach, city or park.
What to Wear? This will be easy to decide after you answer questions 1 & 2. We recommend two outfits to our couples.
Who should we invite? This is up to you from inviting your friends or children. A fun tip we share with our couples is don’t be afraid to incorporate your pets into your session. We love it when our couples include their dogs. It’s fun and we get some great candid images.
How? Your engagement images can be used to announce your engagement on social media, Save The Dates to your guests, choose a cover image on your your wedding website - we recommend The Knot or display a printed framed image at your wedding for your guests to sign and provide well wishes.
